Part-time, 21 hrs/wk
The Women's Domestic Violence Court Support Assistance Scheme (WDVCAS) at Redfern Legal Centre requires a woman to advocate for women, especially Aboriginal women, in domestic violence matters at Downing Centre Local Court.
The Court Advocate will provide court support to women, liaise with police and lawyers, and provide administrative support to the WDVCAS. She will be experienced in providing culturally appropriate court assistance to Aboriginal women, and will have an understanding of the Aboriginal community in our area.
The position is part-time, fixed-term, for 21 hours per week.
Salary: According to the RLC scale and dependent on skills and experience (range $54,316 - $64,357 pro rata, $29.76 - $35.27 per hour).
