Credit and Debt Legal Service
The Centre provides a specialist credit and debt face-to-face and telephone advice service Monday and Thursday evenings. Telephone advice is also available to Financial Counsellors state-wide.
Inner Sydney Tenants' Advice and Advocacy Service
The Inner Sydney Tenants' Advice and Advocacy Service provides a service to tenants in the City of Sydney, Leichhardt and Botany local government areas.

The Women's Domestic Violence Court Assistance Scheme
The WDVCAS is available to women who have domestic violence matters at the Downing Centre Local Court.

University of Sydney branch offices
1. Sydney University Students' Representative Council (SRC)
The Centre's branch office is located at the Students' Representative Council at the University of Sydney. It is staffed by a solicitor who provides legal services to undergraduate students of the University of Sydney who are student union members.
Call the SRC on 9660 5222 to make an appointment.
2. Sydney University Postgraduate Students' Association (SUPRA)
The Centre also has a University of Sydney Branch office located at the Sydney University Postgraduate Student's Association (SUPRA) Office in the Raglan Street Building (G10) on the Darlington Campus. A solicitor is available to provide free legal advice, representation in court and a referral service to postgraduate students who are SUPRA members.
The solicitor can assist you with a wide range of legal issues including:
- Administrative law (government etc)
- Consumer complaints
- Court action against the University
- Credit & debt
- Criminal law
- Discrimination and harassment
- Domestic violence
- Employment law
- Family law (advice only)
- Motor Vehicle Accidents
- Tenancy law
- University complaints
- Victims' compensation
- Other general complaints
The Service operates a Drop In Advice session on Thursdays from 1pm-3pm (no need for an appointment).
You can also make an appointment to see the solicitor at other times by calling the SUPRA Office on 9351 3715.
Note: The solicitor cannot advise on immigration law but can refer students to contact points.
TAFE (Sydney Institute) branch office
The office is located at the Students Association in Building W, Sydney Institute of TAFE, Marcus Clark Building, 827-839 George St, Sydney. It is staffed by a solicitor who provides advice to students and staff of the Sydney Institute of TAFE who are Student Association members.
The office is open Monday to Wednesday. Call 9217 5473 to make an appointment.
