RLC's General Legal Service

RLC provides a free legal advice and referral service, and ongoing casework services to people who can not afford a private solicitor and can not obtain assistance from the Legal Aid Commission of NSW.

Advice Sessions

Telephone advice sessions - 4 evenings a week

Face-to-face advice sessions - 4 evenings per week

  • Immigration law
  • Workers Compensation

Advice is not given to

  • Employers - employment responsibility matters
  • Landlords - tenancy related matters
  • Head tenants against sub-tenants
  • Guarantors seeking a solicitor's certificate about a loan
  • Male defendants in domestic violence matters where the complainant lives in our catchment area or whose case is at Downing Centre Local Court
  • Neighbours against neighbours
