How to Volunteer

To apply for a position please send an application specifically numbering and addressing each of the selection criteria below (no more than 3 A4 pages) and your CV. The application should be addressed to the Communications & Volunteer Manager and can be sent by mail, fax or e-mail at recruitment@rlc.org.au

Selection Criteria

Essential:

1.    Completion of at least two years of a combined undergraduate law
       degree; or one year of a graduate law degree; or the equivalent in
       a related area of study; or relevant experience.
2.    Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to social justice
       causes and volunteering in the community.
3.    Demonstrated understanding of legal ethical issues affecting community
       legal centres including conflict of interest
      and maintaining client confidentiality.
4.   Available for at least one of the Centre's shifts (9am-1pm or 2pm-6pm
      Monday to Friday) and for a six month commitment.
5.   Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6.   Ability to work as part of a team.

Desirable:

1.   Experience in administration or customer service in a community based
      service
2.   Ability to speak a relevant community language.
