Volunteer Legal Assistants

How to Volunteer

To apply for a position please send an application specifically numbering and addressing each of the selection criteria below (no more than 3 A4 pages) and your CV. The application should be addressed to the Volunteer Coordinator and can be sent by mail, fax or e-mail at info@rlc.org.au

Selection Criteria

Essential:

  1. Completion of at least two years of a combined undergraduate law degree; or one year of a graduate law degree; or the equivalent in a related area of study; or relevant experience.
  2. Ability to support the objectives of the Centre.
  3. Ability to maintain confidentiality
  4. Available for at least one of the Centre's shifts (9am-1pm or 2pm-6pm Monday to Friday) and for a six month commitment.
  5. Good written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Ability to work as part of a team.

Desirable:

  1. Experience in administration or customer service.
  2. Ability to speak a relevant community language.
