There are two intakes of volunteer legal assistants each year - one in March and another in August. There is also a small Summer intake in November/December. Application must be in by 5:00pm on the following dates:-
August Intake: 14 July 2008
December Intake: 20 October 2008
March Intake 2009: 2 February 2009
If your application is received after these dates, it maybe held over to the following intake. We do not confirm receipt of your application unless this is specifically requested in the email or cover note (not in an attachment ) as we do not consider application until after the closing date.
Please note: that not all volunteers will be placed immediately despite attending the induction night, as this will depend on how many shifts are available and your time availability.
Legal assistants can volunteer on one of the Centre’s day-time shifts Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 1pm or 2pm to 6pm.
The Centre requires legal assistants to volunteer on one day-time shift (either in the morning or afternoon) on weekly basis for at least 6 months.
